As humans, we like to focus only on what is directly in front of us, to see the world as only what is nearby. We are told that no one but God can judge, but what does that mean? Today we hear a story of a woman pestering an unjust judge, demanding he give her the justice she is owed. This judge is finally worn down and caves in, giving this woman what she asked. Yet, the story ends with Jesus juxtaposing this judge with God inviting us to wonder how God’s judgement is different.
